Wolfgang Tolle

Executive Chairman of the Board VisionCare, Inc.

Mr. Tolle is an accomplished and successful executive, entrepreneur and business advisor with over 25 years of experience in the ophthalmology industry, the technology sector and business advisory services. He initially joined VisionCare as CEO and later moved to Executive Chairman to focus on Board Leadership, strategy, fundraising and M&A. From 2011 to 2014, Mr. Tolle was General Manager of Alcon Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxemburg) where he was responsible for all Alcon product lines including surgical, pharmaceutical, and contact lenses. In this capacity, Mr. Tolle also guided the integration of Alcon Benelux into Novartis, which completed its acquisition of Alcon in 2011. Prior to that, he was CEO of WaveLight Inc. as well as WaveLight AG, a publicly traded German producer of premium refractive ophthalmic lasers which was subsequently acquired by Alcon, Inc. Furthermore, he has been a Senior Executive in a variety of other technology companies and serves or has served on numerous Boards.

Mr. Tolle holds “Diplom der Informatik mit Nebenfach Betriebswirtschaftslehre”, “Sehr gut”, from the University of Dortmund, Germany in August 1986 (German equivalent to an MS degree, magna cum laude, in Computer Science in conjunction with a simultaneous BS in Business Management). Over time, Mr. Tolle has served on numerous corporate, non-profit and civic entities. In addition to being on VisionCare’s Board, he currently serves on the Board of Nathan Associates Inc.

Richard P. Powers

Executive Vice President

Richard Powers, Executive Vice President since 2010, has more than 30 years of successful finance and general management experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device fields. Prior to joining VisionCare, he was President and CEO of Aspire Medical. From 2001 to 2008, Mr. Powers was Vice President and CFO of Anesiva. He was Executive Vice President and President of European Operations at CardioGenesis from 1996 to 2001. Prior to CardioGenesis, Mr. Powers was Senior Vice President at Roche and Senior Vice President and CFO at Syntex, an NYSE listed pharmaceutical company with revenues of $2.5 billion, which was acquired by Roche.

Mr. Powers has served on the boards of a number of private and public companies. He currently serves on the board of Cardica, Inc., a NASDAQ listed medical device company. He holds an MBA from University of Rochester in NY and a B.S. in Accounting from Canisius College, Buffalo, NY.

Eli Aharoni

Vice President, Research & Development and General Manager

Eli Aharoni has been with VisionCare since its formation and is responsible for the Company’s operations at its Petah Tikva, Israel facility. He has over 30 years of experience leading research and development programs, and a strong background in program management and mechanical engineering. Mr. Aharoni also has over a decade of experience in the Class III medical devices industry. Prior to joining VisionCare, his extensive background includes being Commander of a large research and development center in the Israeli military industry.

Mr. Aharoni holds a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.

Yona Katz

Vice President, Manufacturing

Yona Katz joined VisionCare in 1998 and has more than 30 years of experience in engineering, operations, and manufacturing. In addition, Mr. Katz has over 10 years of expertise in Class III medical devices. He leads VisionCare’s manufacturing technology, process development, and implementation. Prior to joining VisionCare, Mr. Katz managed large-scale projects and served in various executive positions in the Israeli military industry and was most recently Head of Operations.

Mr. Katz holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Ben Gurion University, Israel.

Doron Raz

Vice President, Finance and Administration

Doron Raz joined VisionCare in 2000 and has more than 20 years of experience in financial positions. He leads VisionCare’s finance, accounting, human resources, and administration activities. Prior to joining VisionCare, Mr. Raz was Controller in a high-tech company. He also was a Senior Auditor at the accounting firm of Hillman, Preisler, Eliav and Company in Tel-Aviv and was responsible for a wide range of clients.

Mr. Raz is a Certified Public Accountant. He holds an L.L.M degree (Master of Laws) from Bar-Ilan University and a B.A. degree in Business Administration and Accounting from The College of Management In Tel-Aviv.
